- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technical discipline; Master’s preferred, or equivalent years’ of experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop best-in-class end user experiences through Looker dashboards, Looks, & Explores
- Interact with data using SQL, ETL tools, APIs
- Develop and design data models
- End-to-end product knowledge of Looker
- Perform training and/or Proof of Concepts in the Looker platform
- Communicate directly with clients in a technical or non-technical capacity
- Act as a technical subject matter expert for business users
- Manage multiple concurrent projects from initial communication to project completion – this is a client facing role, you must be comfortable working directly with clients to understand their needs
- Anything else that needs to be done that adds value to the business, our clients and your co-workers
Requirements
- 3+ years or of Looker experience (other BI platform experience is a plus)
- Strong proficiency in LookML development
- Experience using PDTs, Liquid Variables/Parameters
- Strong proficiency in SQL, query optimization, and business intelligence tools
- Experience in consulting and leading projects
- Experience designing/installing/maintaining a self-hosted Looker instance.
- Experience embedding Looker into custom applications
- Experience with Looker Data Actions and/or using the Action Hub
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Ability to demonstrate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Comfortable in presentation settings with C-level executives
- Confidence to clearly articulate information
- Ability and desire to take initiative and identify gaps in an implementation plan
- Thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Capability to stay calm and defuse high stake situations
- Capacity to travel to client sites as needed and requested when normal business travel practices resume
Additional Requirements
- LookML Developer Certified
- Google Cloud Certified or certified from another public cloud (AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with Git
- Previous Experience with the Google Cloud Platform Capabilities/Services (BigQuery, Cloud SQL, DataStudio)
